Setup
Our setup is quite simple in this example:
We have;
One ESX server connected to an SAN & Storage
One NetBackup Master/Media server also used as the “VMware Backup Host”

Configuration

Add NetBackup Master server to itself as the “VMware Backup Host” through: NetBackup
Management -> Host Properties -> Master Servers (Double click on your master server)

Add your ESX server through and fill the required fields: Media and Device Management ->
Credentials -> Virtual Machine Server -> Right Click -> New

After you are finished, click on “OK” and NetBackup will validate the new policy settings and will warn
