Das CoDeSys Automation Alliance – Konzept

Schluss mit Einzel-Lösungen

Die Anwender von Automati­

sierungskomponenten wie z.B.
Maschinen- und Anlagenbauer
geben sich heute nicht mehr
mit Einzellösungen zufrieden.
Deshalb haben sich Standards
etabliert, wie z.B. OPC für die
Anbindung von Visualisierungen
oder die IEC 61131-3 als
hersteller-unabhängige Norm für
die Program­mierung von SPSen.

Allerdings wird nun eine weitere Anforde­

rung laut: Die Vernetzung heterogener Kom­
ponenten, deren Interoperabilität und vor
allem Programmierung mit nur einem einzi­
gen. Das System-Partner-Konzept CoDeSys
Automation Alliance erfüllt diese Erwartung
und ist eine logische Fortführung der begon­
nen Standardisierung. Das weit verbreitete
IEC 61131-3 – Programmiersystem CoDeSys
beinhaltet die erforderliche Funktionalität
und bündelt eine große Anzahl von pro­
grammierbaren Geräten zu einem Pool.

und Softwarefirmen im Auto-
matisierungsbereich
Eine Vielzahl von Hardware-OEM-Herstellern
setzt CoDeSys als Programmiersystem ein – ei­
ne übergreifende Zusammenarbeit bie­tet sich
somit an. CoDeSys ist als plattform- und her­

stellerübergreifendes IEC 61131-3 Program­
miersystem das verbindende Glied zwischen
den Hardware-Komponenten.
Vernetzung heterogener
Systeme
Interoperabilitätsstandards auf der Basis
von Standard-Übertragungsprotokollen wie
z.B. TCP/IP, UDP/IP, CANopen bilden die
technische Grundlage zur Vernetzung von
heterogenen Komponenten. Über Netz­
werk-globale Variablen, einem Multi-Mas­
ter-Mecha­nismus, können die Geräte ihre
Daten miteinander austauschen, ohne dass
der Anwender speziellen Applikationscode
schreiben muss.
Programmierung heterogener
Sys­teme mit nur einem einzi-
gen Programmiersystem
Durch Verwendung von Standard-Laufzeit­
systemen auf der Zielhardware ist es mög­
lich, alle Geräte mit nur einem einzigen
­Entwicklungssystem zu programmieren:
CoDeSys. Die Auswahl der Zielhardware ist
so einfach möglich, wie die Auswahl eines
Druckers unter MS Windows. Hardware-Her­
steller im Verbund der CoDeSys Automation
Alliance liefern die notwendigen Treiber, die
so ge­nannten Target-Support-Packages, mit
dem Gerät.

Endkunden-Freundlichkeit
Dem Systemintegrator und Anwendungspro­
grammierer steht damit ein Pool von software-
kompatiblen Geräten zur Auswahl. Sachzwän­
