Value of Vote

Have you ever heard about the story of Noynoy Agapar and Manay Villena
in which they have tied in vote counting that the one last vote which is actually the
key to victory of neither the two of them and the one last vote that holds the hope,
dreams, and lives of their constituents is missing. How did that happen? Actually, i
really don’t know the whole story behind that. Hehehe.. it’s up to you guys to
research about that. But what really matter is its meaning and the lesson it brings
for each and every one of us.

The lesson that it bring is the thought that with each and every vote we have
holds a great responsibility, huge hope, and the future of our country and our
fellowmen. Yeah, maybe it’s just 1 vote against six million more it will be nothing
compared to that enormous number of other voter. But we have to remember that
those six million more is composed of a number of single votes just like yours.
Although there’s a saying that “a whole is more than the sum of all its parts” well it
doesn’t make sense though i just want to share it with those who are interested to
know, FYI as they have said. Let’s get back to the topic value of your vote, so if
there you have one and only one shot to vote, to choose whether he is or he isn’t, if
they are or they aren’t. A chance that shouldn’t be missed for its our duty as a
person to choose among those who claim they are as if they really are. So vote
holds the very foundation of hope left inside of you for our country and our fellow
countrymen. It will be the chance to make difference so it should not be wasted
and ignored.

2010 election in the Philippines is fast approaching and it’s time for every
Filipino voter to do their job in making a change in our country. The
Commission on Election is doing their best to accommodate voters that have
not yet registered for 2010 election. As a first time voter like me, I must do
something good for our country in order to uplift the country’s economic
situation and its overall status. This country needs a good leader that leads us
to a better life and for that we must also do something very important by
voting.

In our country’s rules, the President will have his/her term and serve his/her
country for six (6) years which we expect a good leadership from him/her. In
order for us not to waste, suffer and regret another six (6) years, we must
carefully and thoroughly know our candidates and pick the right one and
stand for our own choice not only for the presidential position but all the
positions.

In the end I still hope and see our government be filled with true and just
leaders that will do everything and anything for our country sake.

The fate of our country and its people will depend on our “one vote”.
