Note #1 The Heritage Center was previously a pioneer Methodist church located on the
corner of Boones Ferry & Tualatin-Sherwood Rd. It was moved here in 2005. The
original church was destroyed by fire in 1925 and rebuilt in 1926. Hours are 10am-2pm,
Mon-Sat.
Note #2: Daniel Boone’s great great grandson and granddaughter, John Jesse Boone
and Sonora Boone Cimino, are buried here. John Jesse gravesite – go to 4th line of graves
after curve left. His gravesite is the last one next to warehouse, next to mother, Melinda
Boone. Sonora – continue down gravel road 20’ to next small cedar tree & water faucet
on left.

Note #6 The brick building on your corner was moved back about 50 yards in 2006 to
save it from demolition. It is one of the oldest buildings in Tualatin, originally Rich’s
store. Across Boones Ferry Rd. through the hedge is the Sweek House, the oldest
