RE: Balance and Progress opportunity

Welcome Concordians ~ both new, and returning ~ to the halls of the

Common Man. We extend to you our confidence that this season will prove to be
outstanding in your progression and, as with all worthy undertakings, will present
to you challenge, enlightenment and change.
The delay of repairs to Technology Hall has presented a perfect storm
to our Graduate Department of Education. After careful review of their solution, we
have recognized an incredible study/analysis opportunity and invite all students to
participate in the following temporary measure. Please review this notice carefully
and submit your decision, as directed, to the side of your choice.
Participation is mandatory, “Discretion is the better part of valor”:

~Balance~
This team will attend all Tech. Hall
subjects in the Modular Classrooms on
south campus, with full online PC service
and shall receive instruction only through
virtual classroom attendance. Not unlike
an online class, lectures and notes will be
viewed on screen, and only instructor
contact will be through online forums,
chat and e-mail.

~Progress~
This group will receive personal
instruction from our seasoned Faculty and
Fellows as usual, with two exceptions:
1. All lectures will be without PC
workstations, all materials hard copy.
2. All lectures will be video archived for
the “Balance” team to view.
Classes will also be in the Modulars, and
follow standard classroom etiquette.

All provisional test scores will be analyzed to the end of discovering and
identifying a valid difference in the two modes of instruction. We anticipate a
Landmark study will emerge from this short schedule disruption and encourage
students to contribute to an even split result, for accurate control study. Contact
