Managed, prepared, submitted and discussed compliance issues, applications and r
eports with regulatory agencies such as the Water Board, Department of Fish & Ga
me, EPA, Counties and local agencies. Such issues, applications and report incl
uded MOUs, Hazardous Material Business Plans (HMBP), Spill Prevention Control &
Countermeasure (SPCC), hazardous waste tax returns, air compliance permits, OSHA
requirements, potable water discharge plans, creek restoration/maintenance acti

Successfully managed the restoration of an operationally impacted creek and the
relocation of threatened species to an alternate habitat, to the satisfaction of

* Conducted environmental health & safety compliance inspections of project cons
truction activities to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements including
contractual commitments, permits, and the projects' progress.
* Managed the Trench Spoils Program ensuring worker safety and the proper manage
ment of soils excavated from trenches in industrial and potentially contaminated
areas. Made decisions for sampling, test parameters, the number of samples an
d locations and directed sampling contractor to pre-sample trenches based on loc
ation and use history. Applied sample results along with disposal regulations a
nd health & safety requirements and dictated personal protective equipment use a
nd soil disposal/management methods.
* Served as a member of the Sustainability and Recycling Committee at EBMUD, whe
re renewable and clean energy strategies were discussed, designed and implemente
d. This included evaluating business options, designing and decimating surveys
and interviewing managers and recommending the best strategy possible. This was
