Supervisor/Managing Supervisor (2002-2009)
Managed department of business services providers with diverse skills ranging fr
om engineers, accountants, quality control, and clerical support in both field a
nd office environments. Provided necessary business models and related consulti
ng and reporting services for onsite management of construction/maintenance proj
ect cost controls to budget at electric power plant facilities.
* Organized and led development and implementation of company-wide project manag
ement model enabling company executives easy access to accurate project status/c
ost information daily. I received a bonus, salary increase and promotion as a re
sult.
- Model used to manage cost of over $650 million of construction and maintenance
project annually.
- Model still in use by Ameren today.
* Organized and led multi-functional team in developing and implementing company
-wide obsolete inventory management process & tool that led to improved assessme
nt of field inventory asset values.
- Over $10 million of obsolete items identified and processed for salvage during
first twelve months following process implementation.
- Success of new tool/process directly responsible for averting a deficiency wri
te-up by internal auditor, PWC.
- Process and tool remains primary obsolete inventory management tool at Ameren.

ectiveness of power plant operations in the area of safety, financial, environme

* Led training in the use of newly developed procurement and accounts payable bu
siness applications throughout Ameren's system.
Plant Project Cost Engineer/Supervisor (1981-2001)
Developed and executed budgets and expenditure cost schedules for plant equipmen
t modification/maintenance projects for major plant outages at nuclear/fossil/hy
dro electric power plants. Responsibilities included developing processes and p
roviding tools for developing schedules and cost forecast for all necessary labo
r and materials resources needed to perform project as well as integrate schedul
es for cost for training and safety considerations.
* Led implementation of centralized budget application that saved over one thous
and hours of duplicate data entry annually; and vastly improved accuracy of proj
ect cost forecast entered into the official company financial forecast model.
* Persuaded the Missouri Public Service Commission to allow Ameren to recover $5
00,000 of construction re-work at Callaway plant by researching, recording and j
ustifying reasons for expenditure.
* Directed and supervised field labor crews in performance of maintenance on nuc
lear reactor equipment safely and according to federal and company regulations.
* Negotiated and administered over 30 multi-million dollar contracts for outside
professional engineering and consulting services during construction and startu
p of Callaway nuclear plant.

DC-9 Pilot/First Officer
Operated DC-9 aircraft on scheduled domestic flights throughout US service terri
tory. First Officer on two-pilot jet responsible for planning, navigation, and
safe reliable operation of high performance commercial jet to insure successful
transportation of public.
MILITARY BACKGROUND
UNITED STATES AIR FORCE 1971-1979
Commissioned Officer - Captain
Pilot in war zone during Vietnam conflict. Received Air Force Distinguished Ser
vice Award for service as pilot crew member. Honorable discharge. Post Vietnam
duties included all planning and logistics necessary to establish and command r
emote airfield bases during worldwide NATO deployment exercises. Responsible for
commanding upwards of 200 military personnel, logistics and equipment reliably
to insure success of exercise scenario at remote locations.
* Flew first relief aircraft to arrive in Guatemala City, Guatemala following di
sastrous earthquake in 1977. Mission flown in adverse weather without air traffi
c control or navigation aids to deliver humanitarian relief supplies to people o
f Guatemala immediately after the earthquake. Crew received exemplary service aw
ard for mission.
* Flew non-scheduled late-night medical evacuation mission to transport newborn
son of high ranking US embassy official from Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Panama Cit
y, Panama during extreme weather conditions and minimum flight planning. The exp
editious teamwork between flight crew and onboard medical personnel resulted in
timely & effective care being provided to pre-maturely born child. Had opportuni
ty to visit with young boy and his family several years later.
