Fall 2006 semester served as executive editor. Decided placement and newsworthin
ess of articles, assigned stories, enforced deadlines, and edited for content an

California State University, Fullerton, 2009. Writer. Have written and contribut
ed to over thirty pieces for The Daily Titan newspaper. Covered events, wrote th
orough and in-depth pieces all with at least three live sources and as much as e
leven live sources, worked with the Flip HD camera for online videos, took photo
graphs for stories, interviewed extensively, pitched original story and opinion
pieces, and searched out hard to find sources. Experienced in the student broadc
ast newsroom at Cal State Fullerton producing, controlling cameras, reading on c
amera, writing scripts, and directing news segments.
Orange Country Register, 2010. Reporter, intern. Worked under Teri Sfroza and Ch
ris Knap on the Register's Watchdog Blog. Produced a feature article about profe
ssional and amateur dog fighting, which was published on the Watchdog Blog March
26th and on the front page of the Sunday Local Section on March 28th. Covered a
demonstration of pro-health care reform members of the website move-on.org in f
ront of the Register's building. Conducted interviews, made spread sheets, and r
esearched grand jury reports and waste characterization studies for a forthcomin
g article about waste diversion and disposal in Orange County.
