Statement of Objective

I am seeking a position as a Project Manager of Support or Training, or as a Lea


d Database Designer with an ongoing role leading teams in design, development an
d implementation of client/server or web-based toolscomplex but user-friendlyon
relational database platforms.
Most of my career has been dedicated to financials tools (Support and Training),
and I have had roles as both a Project Manager and a Director. More recently,
as an MS Access Database Consultant, I have worked with many types of clients r
anging from business supplies, to hospitals, to tennis clubs, and more to desig
n many types of tools for each unique environment.

Designed, developed MS Access tools, some from scratch, some rebuilds. 4-120 u
ser environments. Access 97-2007. Dynamic SQL embedded in Visual Basic to supp
ort source logic. Extensive ODBC.
All core structures were fully normalized; many tools were dynamically denormal
ized to support higher speed processing. Many projects required training the us
ers. Nationwide clientele.

Regional Service Manager
Designed OLAP tool (MS/Access, ODBC links to DB2) to analyze/monitor all projec
ts for Planning Division. Multiple RDBs to compare estimates to actuals. 1 assi

Led project to create/deliver detailed implementation and RDB training for new
settlement transaction interface. Created/edited monthly newsletter about this
project. 900 readers.
Designed, wrote MS/Access program to monitor and analyze programs, sub-procedur
es, and sub-steps of old and new single-message system.
Led project to update program logic to assure favorable rates for Check Card tr

Enhanced core course from 2 to 3 days to train technically inclined customers o
n design of tables/forms with SQL using ScopusWorks. Added database concepts an
