Experience: 21 years in the Retail Automotive Industry. 18 + years as Finance,
Special Finance, Sales Manager and Sales Trainer working with Chevrolet, Buick,
Cadillac, Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki, Chrysler and Ford products. AFIP Certified (As
sociation of Finance and Insurance Professionals). 7 years in retail computer sa
les and support as well as sales management.
Qualifications: I have excellent communication skills and relate well with peopl
e. I can quickly adapt to new ideas and situations and enjoy working in the F&I
and Sales Manager field. With strong closing abilities, I have been able to ke
ep a 40-60% + penetration average of VSC and a 65% penetration for GAP over the
last 10 years. In most of the dealerships that I have been associated with I hav
e been the designated Sales Trainer and coordinator. I am a strong believer in g
reat Customer experience. Offering Service Contracts, Gap and A&H benefits and a

Background: I grew up in the mountains of Colorado, living the 1st 20 years in J
efferson County. After graduating from college in Neosho, MO., my wife and I mov
ed to her hometown of Tribune, KS. A few years went by and we went into a full t
ime pastoral ministry for the next 10 years. Leaving the church ministry, I ente
red into the retail computer sales market, which is what took us to Liberal, KS.
The computer store that I managed was closed and it was then that I joined the
sales team at Stu Emmert Automotive. After being in sales for about 18 months I
was promoted to the F&I Managers position where I stayed for the next 10 years.
I enjoy the car business and know that it is an industry that will always be the
re. It may slow down from time to time and the market may change, but it will al
ways be a part of America's future as well as its past.
Training: AFIP Certified in 1998. GMAC Advanced F&I Training, Scottsdale, AZ (6
years). Toyota University F&I School. Life & Health Insurance licensed in 2004.
Dale Carnige Sales Management Training. Computer sales training and customer su
pport for IBM, Compaq, Epson, Samsung, NEC and others. Software training for MS
Word Perfect, Excel, MS Works, Redwing Accounting, Token Ring and Ethernet Netwo
rking. I have worked with Reynolds and Reynolds, ADP and UCS computer systems.
