I did a 6 month internship at Gateway Pleasant Hills as a drug and alcohol couns
elor. Four of the six months were 40 hours per week. I did group and individual
counseling utilizing psycho therapeutic techniques along with CBT, and motivatio
nal interviewing. I did treatment plan reviews, daily progress notes and dealt w
ith outside sources such as probation and parole officers, and EAP's for those i
n treatment due to work place violations.
