PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
KELLOGG BROWN & ROOT (KBR) 1999 to Present
Project Manager: Lead numerous projects valued up to $80M (totaling over $400M,
from initiation, planning, implementation, and monitoring/control to closeout a
nd completion on a DOD facility and within an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 compliant p
rogram. Supervised up to 50 personnel, including resident engineers, field eng
ineers, quality control/quality assurance staff, CADD personnel, health and safe
ty personnel, project control engineers, estimators, administrative staff, and s
ubcontractors. Ensured compliance with design and contract requirements, polici
es and procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Managed the development of plans
to manage project scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, communication, human res
ources, procurement, integration, and change management. Established project re
source requirements and developed staffing plans, project milestones, and schedu
le. Provided project change management and negotiated subcontract changes. Pro
vided leadership for team building that included project and subcontractor perso
nnel. On a daily basis provided leadership and direction to project personnel, a
nd leadership and oversight to contractors and subcontractors to assure that the
work was being implemented in accordance with the project scope, schedule, subc

program to meet the clients (North Texas Tollway Authority) Quality Management
System requirements to obtain ISO 9001 certification and provided construction m
anagement and coordination for the Sam Rayburn Tollway projects with values tota
ling over $560M.

FLUOR DANIEL FERNALD 1990 to 1999


Task Order Manager: Provided project management, construction management, and
technical leadership to numerous teams and subcontractors during construction an
d remedial project lifecycles on a DOE facility. Developed plans to manage proj
ect scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, communication, human resources, procur
ement, integration, and change management. Participated in project initiation,
planning, implementation, and monitoring/control activities, involving construct
ion and remediation projects. Developed fiscal budgets, five-year budgets, and
schedules by forecasting staffing and resource requirements.
Field Manager/Field Engineer/Principal Geologist: Managed time-critical remedial
and geotechnical field investigations; prepared and administered subsequent rep
orts. Managed 16 drilling crews, which included drilling personnel, sample coll
ection technicians, and geologists. Created and executed a waste material placem
ent plan, including a three-dimensional tracking system. Reviewed and evaluated
quality assurance and quality control data, including geotechnical data, generat
ed during project construction. Identified and evaluated potential impacts of e
nvironmental regulations, OSHA regulations and company protocols as pertains to
work activities and provided recommendations on project designs and project impl
ementation. Evaluated existing geotechnical data for selecting the locations fo
r tests and borings to determine lithology. Collected and evaluated geotechnica
l information for design and construction projects. Responsible for resolving r
egulator comments on reports and technical documents. Reduced, evaluated, and r
eported data, to include geotechnical data collected from a disposal facility mo
nitoring program and a remedial investigation.

CECOS INTERNATIONAL 1989 to 1990


Geologist/Field Technician: Provided oversight for the sample collection of gro
undwater, surface water/sediment, surface soil, subsurface soil, and leachate sa
mples for RCRA and TSCA regulatory compliance. Supported the construction of a
landfill and conducted geotechnical evaluations for the hazardous waste facility
. Documented analytical results of statistical analysis on groundwater data.
- Played a key role in determining the effect of local and regional geology on g
roundwater.
U.S. ARMY 1984 to 1989
Signals Intelligence Analyst: Held Top Secret Clearance/Special Compartmentaliz
ed Information. Collected, analyzed, and disseminated communications data via i
ntelligence reports. Supervised a crew of intelligence analysts and intercept o
