To Whom It May Concern:
I am trying to obtain a position as a Physician Assistant Certified in the Acadi
ana area of Louisiana. I am qualified, licensed, and experienced and eager to b
egin work as soon as possible.
I have an excellent record, recognition from co-workers and from physicians I've
worked with both during clinical rotations and during my career. Though, since
graduating from an accredited Physician Assistant program in 2008, I have been
practicing as a Neurological Surgery PA-C with adults and pediatrics, I am looki
ng to make a transition. My clinical rotations during graduate school were vari
ed and I was surprised to discover that I enjoyed all fields of medicine.
I would like to obtain a position in internal medicine, family medicine, or emer
gency/acute medicine. I am new to this part of Louisiana and would like to pass
along my resume. During my career in neurosurgery, my experience has been half
clinical and half surgical. I am responsible for all pre-operative physical ex
aminations as well as reviewing laboratory results. I constantly review radiolo
gical images and reports. I also have gained the knowledge to determine if a pa
tient needed to be referred to another specialist or their primary care provider
. I believe that I have learned much more than neurosurgery in the past two yea
rs. With the knowledge I have gained, I feel that I would be an asset to become
a primary care provider.
During rotations and work, I have been told by my supervising physicians that I
am responsible, quick to learn and have great interpersonal skills. I have wond
erful references and a strong work ethic. I have enclosed my resume, LA license
card, and a reference letter from Allen S. Joseph, M.D., chief of neurosurgery
at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. I also have Prescriptive Autho
rity and am eligible for a DEA number.
If you have a position available for a midlevel provider or think that you may h
ire in the future, I would like to be considered for the opportunity. If you ar
e interested, please call me on my cell phone: 337-322-0603 or email me at jm60c
108@westpost.net. If you would like to meet to discuss this further, I can work
my schedule to fit your calendar.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Menard, PA-C
