Baltic Amber

The blockbuster film Jurassic Park dealt with the subject of dinosaur fossils that have
been preserved in amber. These types of fossils actually exist and they have been found
to contain a wide variety of insects. Amber is simply another word for what we
commonly refer to today as tree sap. Insects became trapped in this sticky substance
which beautifully preserved their original compositions. Amber fossils have been found
to include frogs, scorpions, beetles, wasps and spiders. The problem is the author of
Jurassic Park and educated professors fail to acknowledge a blatantly obvious problem.
Scientists have claimed these fossils can range anywhere from 13 million to 25 million
years old.

Why is there no evidence of evolution if these fossils are really 25 million years old?
Surely, we should find at least a few changes if there is any truth to evolutionary biology.
The insects look exactly the same as modern day insects.

“As a general rule, it cannot be doubted that the continued selection of slight variations,
have, in some cases, played a considerable part in the modification of the constitution and
structure" - Charles Darwin [1]

Darwin said there would only be “slight variations”. It takes more than a slight variation
to evolve from an insect or monkey into a human being. He draws the conclusion "It
cannot be doubted" while continually using the word ignorance in his Origin of Species.

"As far as my imperfect results go"

"As far as our ignorance permits us to judge"
"I do not know whether this statement is accurate"
"Due to causes of which we are quite ignorant."
"Under our present state of ignorance"

The word ignorance means you do not know the answer. Darwin was well aware that in
order for his theory to be true the fossil record must supply the evidence.

“But, as by this theory innumerable transitional forms must have existed, why do we not
find them embedded in countless numbers in the crust of the earth?” – Charles Darwin
[2]

Darwin assumed that transitional forms would be discovered in the future but they do not
exist. An example of a transitional form would be the discovery of a mermaid skeleton.
Half human and half fish which shows a transitional stage or process. A common house
cat and a Bengal tiger vary greatly in size but they are both members of the cat species.
Scientists that try to use size variances as an example of a transitional form are only
deceiving themselves by ignoring the obvious missing links.

“What is missing are the many intermediate forms hypothesized by Darwin”

“There is no fossil of the stages through which the remarkable change from reptile to bird
was achieved”- A. J. Marshall (PHD Anthropology Harvard University) [4]

"The fossil material is now so complete that it has been possible to construct new classes,
and the lack of transitional series cannot be explained as being due to the scarcity of
material. The deficiencies are real; they will never be filled" - Dr. Heribert Nilsson
(Professor of Botany University of Lund: Sweden) [5]

Darwin agrees with these men on missing intermediate forms and proceeds to provide a
ridiculous excuse for why they have not been found.

"We should not be able to recognize a species as the parent of any one or more species if
we were to examine them ever so closely, unless we likewise possessed many of the
intermediate links between their past or parent and present states; and these many links
we could hardly ever expect to discover, owing to the imperfection of the geological
record." - Charles Darwin [6]

How convenient is that? Since I cannot prove my theory I will just claim "the geological
record as being imperfect". When you actually bother to study Darwin’s writings you will
realize he does this quite frequently. He provides readers with nothing but conjecture and
speculation.

“Why then is not every geological formation and every stratum full of such intermediate
links? Geology assuredly does not reveal any such finely graduated organic chain; and
this, perhaps, is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my
theory. The explanation lies, as I believe, in the extreme imperfection of the geological
record” – Charles Darwin [7]

Once again we are provided with an unacceptable answer. The imperfection of the
geological record has now increased to “extreme imperfection” according to Darwin. The
earth does not lie or hide the evidence needed to confirm his theory. Darwin tells us
“Geology assuredly does not reveal a graduation chain” which confirms there are no
transitional forms.

The Theory of Evolution is useless when the man who wrote the theory cannot provide
evidence for his assumptions. A Christian can rest assured that the fossil record provides
no evidence for evolution.
