WRKACTJOB - Use WRKACTJOB(Work with Active Jobs) command to see status of jobs
currently running on the system.
WRKJOBQ - Use WRKJOBQ(Work with Job Queue) to see the overall or detailed
status of specific Job queues in the system.
WRKOUTQ - Use the WRKOUTQ(Work with Output Queue) command to display and work
with either the overall detailed status of all or specific output queues of
which the user is authorized to access. The status of the queues may change
while the command is being run.
How to move spool file(s) from one outq to another - Locate the spool file(s)
you wish to move or print and place a 2 next to the file, then from the
command prompt type in OUTQ(printer destination) E.g OUTQ(laser01).
WRKSBMJOB - Use the WRKSBMJOB (Work with Submitted Jobs) command to see and
work with jobs you have submitted from your workstation, job, or user profile.
WRKSPLF - The WRKSPLF (Work with Spooled Files) command displays a list of
all the spooled files on the system or a selected list from them. You can
choose to change, hold, delete, display, or release any or all of the entries
that are displayed.
WRKUSRJOB - The WRKUSRJOB(Work with User Jobs) command allows you to work with
a list of selected user jobs. You can send messages to users or show status of
all batch jobs of users on the system. Use WRKUSRJOB(Username) to do this.

WRKWTR - Work with Writers. You can use this command to check the detailed
status of all or specific printers and writers (plus writer info.)
CALL - Call program. You can use this command to call the program named in the
command, and pass control to it. Optionally, the program or user
issuing the CALL command can pass parameters to the called program.
HLDJOBQ - Hold Job Queue. This command is used to hold a job queue and
prevents jobs from being submitted to this job queue. This command has no
effect on jobs that are running. Additional jobs can be placed on the job
queue while it is held, but they will not be processed.
RLSJOBQ - Release jobs on queue. This command is typically used for submitting
end of jobs and releasing them after the backup or when users have logged off
the system. The release job queue command is used to release held Jobs in
queue.
CLRJOBQ - Clear job queue. You can use this command to clear jobs held in
queue. Use this command with caution, as all jobs in a given queue will be
cleared.
Notes:
STROFC - This command is used to switch from the ABSMNT menu to Office Vision
menu when you are in another screen.
CHKTAP - The Check Tape (CHKTAP) command searches a volume on the specified
device for a unique volume identifier or file label. If the correct
tape is loaded, you may process this file on the next tape operation by
specifying the same sequence number that was specified in the Check Tape
(CHKTAP) command. If the correct tape is not found, an escape message is
sent.
DSPTAP - The Display Tape (DSPTAP) command shows the volume label and data
file label information that is contained on a standard labeled magnetic tape
or the volume type and density. Additional information, including a
description of each object saved to the tape file and summary information
about the saved objects, can be displayed by specifying *SAVRST on the Data
type prompt (DATA parameter).
WRKACTJOB - The Work with Active Jobs display shows the performance and status
information of users currently active on the system.
DSPSAVF - The Display Save File command is used check what version a save file
was created in. An example of this command is dspsavf wntpack/expmrkmag where
wntpack is the library and expmrkmag is the save file created.
WRKOUTQ TRANQ - Use this command to check for transmission logs in outq TRANQ.
DSPCTLD - Display controller discription. Use this command to find out which
customer’s phone number is being dialed when you us the command CALL CUST XXX
where ‘X’’ is customer’s three letter initial.
ADDDLOAUT DLO(*ALL) FLR(RLP) USRAUT((xxxxx *USE)) - This command is used to
grant a user authority to a folder. In the command listed above, RLP is the
folder name and ‘‘x’’ is the user who is granted authority to access the
folder.
WRKUSRJOB XXXXX - Work With User Job (where ‘‘X’’ is your user signon to the
AS400) is a command used to check the status of your spool files.
