ly monitored corporate facilities maintenance, as well as developed company-wide

COMMISSARY MANAGER, Chicago, IL 1998-2004
Spearheaded all facets of supervising, training, scheduling, recruiting, hiring,
and counseling full-time and part-time employees. In charge for all commissary
operations at the Cook County Jail consisting of 11 separate jail facilities wit
hin 15 square city blocks. Headed hired a staff of 68-100 with supervisory and n
on-supervisory direct and non direct reports. Served as a liaison between the co
rporate office and administrators of the facility. Created, coordinated, and dir
ected on-site commissary departments for administration, human resources, payrol
l, training, delivery, and truck operations. Organized initial on-site commissar
y ordering and delivery operations at the Cook County Jail with an inmate popula
tion of 10,000 to 12,000.

- Enhanced and established site-specific written operating, administrative

ations, supervisor training, and security and safety.
- Improved and implemented a response system for the resolution of all inm
ate complaints/grievances within an established 24-hour timeframe, which leads t

ral and fewer employee complaints.
- Diminished and maintained workers compensations claims by 50% for FY 200
0 through 2004.

harassment complaints filed from 1998 to 2004 within an environment sometimes r
eferred to hostile.
- Conducted numerous employee training and continual reviews of operationa
l efficiency to ensure operational policies were effective and running at 100% e
fficiency, which led to a labor cost savings of 25% in FY2001, 28% in FY2003, an
d 20% in the first half of FY2004.
