OBJECTIVE
I am seeking an entry level position in the field of Non Destructive Testing (ND
T). I had been working in material control / warehousing inside local chemical p
lants for the better part of the last 22 years. I actually learned of and became
interested the NDT field many years ago while handling materials for plant proj
ects. I have completed some basic NDT courses at San Jacinto College which inclu
des MT, PT, VT, Intermediate and advanced UT, ET, Metallurgy I, and Fundamentals
of Dimensional Metrology / Blueprint Reading Basics.

Assisted team in building warehouse stock of items needed for camp maintenance a
nd support of Army operations. A history of usage individual item usage had to f
irst be established. This was primarily done by teaming with the individual serv
ice departments to gather the necessary history through previous requisitions.
Attended and completed a Requisition Writing Course to standardize the requisiti
on writing process throughout the camp and theater to reduce the number of mista
kes and rewrites thus reducing the time to move the requisition through the proc
ess. Loaded requisitions into local database and followed their progress until t
hey reach procurement.
Worked in the receiving department checking the accuracy of the deliveries by ve
rifying with a copy of the purchase order on hand what was being delivered was w
hat was actually ordered.

I worked in the plants receiving area of the main warehouse receiving everything
from small packages to coordinating with the heavy equipment / rigging departme
nt to offload large capital and bulk items directly to the work site. I received
materials and packages from UPS, local and national trucking companies. These d
eliveries were later checked against the purchase order. In the event of discrep
ancies the vendor and or manufacturer was notified to discuss the issue and corr
ect the problem. I also maintained a credit check program to document returns fo
r credit. I worked closely with accounting on researching / working to resolve i
tems on the blocked invoice list.
As primary shipper I prepared items and maintained all documents for domestic an
d international shipments, when necessary I tracked these shipments from pick up
at the site to its receipt at the destination and kept customer updated on his/
her shipment.
I was involved in many inventories of thousands of items at the main warehouse a
nd various offsite storage sites, and supervised some of these inventories. Some
discrepancies were investigated to charge the appropriate department to correct
inventory. Numerous in house and independent audits were conducted were I took
leading role in acting as liaison between our warehouse operations and the audit
ors.
Requisitions were created and tracked in SAP. The receipts of these requisitions
were also made in SAP either manually for the free form requisitions or the VSP
(Vendor Stock Program) items.
We are in the customer service business so I was continuously working and confer
ring with personnel from all other plant departments and vendors which made comm
unication a top priority of mine. As supervisor I had overall responsibility for
insuring the safe operation of the warehouse.
