Provided all network setup for our client Disaster Recovery backup testing. Thi
s involved connectivity to Cisco routers, Cisco switches, T3 and T1 CSU/DSUs, IS
DN BRI/PRI lines, Nortel DWDM Fiber Multiplexer, modems, etc.
Represented SunGard regarding any networking questions during pre and post test
conference calls for our customers.
Maintained all network equipment in the Sungard Warminster, PA facility, includ
ing any IOS upgrades to our Cisco routers, software upgrades for our Fluke Optiv
iew Network Analyzer or card/interface upgrades.
Reduced cost by identifying and eliminating obsolete circuits and utilizing exi
sting equipment by upgrading them instead of purchasing new. This saved the comp
any over $262,000 last year.
Organized SunGard/Customer circuit and network documentation using Visio and Ne
tzoom9.
Worked with various different vendors/carriers like AT&T, Verizon, Cisco, Level
3, PECO, Fluke Networks and others on a daily basis.

A Fortune 100 company is a $6.0 billion manufacturer of electronic components,
lighting products and scientific instruments.
Installed, cabled and optioned the Philips Around the World PPXN network, using
Compaq nodes. This allowed our users to access the network via Telex, PC dial-u
p, etc.
Provided divisional Flow charts indicating circuit layouts, identification and
organization. Also included Telecomm equipment type, carrier and user contact in
formation as well as defining links as point to point or multipoint.
Optioned Multiplexers, CSU/DSUs, and modems for various different configuration
s thereby saving the firm money by not bringing in outside vendors.
Monitored all Data and Voice circuit problems and contacted the appropriate Car
