Assistant Vice President, Credit Administration Feb 2001-Present
Manage daily operations of multiple departments to include Document Preparation
(centralized for commercial lending) and Credit Administration for the Commercia
l, Mortgage and Consumer lending areas. Oversee, develop, and maximize performan
ce efficiency of managers including 5 direct reports and up to 27 indirect repor
ts across 12 branches and 3 states. Contribute in developing and realigning Busi
ness Continuity Plan (BCP). Worked with Senior Lender, Compliance and Loan Servi
cing departments to insure system and regulatory changes are implemented in a co
nsistent and timely manner throughout all lending areas.
Key Accomplishments:
- Managed and resolved issues in file storage, transportation, exception t
racking, and consistency through the conversion of images held for document rete
ntion purposes only to dynamic document tracking and file management
- Ensured timely and accurate completion of reports for submission to Loan
Committee, Board of Directors, senior management, auditors, regulatory authorit
ies and examiners
- Played a significant role in decision making processes critical to the b
ankâ⠬⠢s corporate planning strategy as a member of IT Steering Committee, Records Retent
Committee, Loan Committee Secretary, and Business Continuity Plan
- Key involvement in the successful conversion of four institutions acquir
ed by the bank and efficiently trained staff on new documentation, file conversi
on, and procedural changes
- Determined areas for improvement and brought new software products on bo
ard that increased efficiencies and regulatory compliance within the lending are
as, to include cashierâ⠬⠢s check software, e-recording, HMDA & CRA reporting, as well as
plementing centralized document preparation within the commercial department
- Promoted to a number of leadership roles involving extensive development
of policies, procedures, and processes for the credit administration of the Com
mercial, Consumer and Mortgage departments, to include authoring the commercial
processing procedures manual
- Key person in developing a file structure that compelled OCC examiners t
o send other lending institutions to our office to review the file structure
- Managed and aligned credit administrative functions for a $703M lending
portfolio, which contributed in the growth of THE National Bank from a $95M inst
itution with three branches into $1.3B institution with 27 branches in three sta
tes in nine years
