ver 200 man years of Reserve support performing essential command missions and f

for Marine Corps reserve matters.
*Published the USJFCOM "Reserve Component Information" document imparting data c
oncerning Reserve forces Law, Policy, Pay, Manning and Mobilization for utilizat

*Responsible for the aviation operational performance of the 4th Marine Aircraft
Wing, consisting of a Wing headquarters, 6 Group headquarters, 11 tactical airc
raft squadrons, and 6 Support and Communication Squadrons; ensuring units were o
rganized, trained and equipped to meet the requirements for combat operations sp
read around the globe in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedo
m as well as normal Training and Exercise support requirements.
*After Hurricane Katrina made landfall on 29 August 2005 east of New Orleans and
as a result of the ensuing devastation to the gulf coast region, 4th MAW displa
ced to numerous predetermined evacuation sites. Initially and single-handedly c
oordinated 4th MAW aviation support, rescue and relief efforts throughout the gu
lf coast region. 4th MAW helicopters and KC-130s were the first Marine aircraft
to participate in the rescue efforts in New Orleans. Coordinated follow-on ope
rations and provided direct support of military personnel, cargo lift and humani
tarian assistance to the region.
*Led the analysis, feasibility of support and ultimate execution directive to pr
ovide aviation support to a newly designed pre-deployment Training Program in su
pport of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Established and led multiple Operational Plan
ning Teams to analyze mission requirements and develop courses of action for air
craft, personnel support, budgeting requirements, and provided in-process and ex
ecutive decision briefs. Planning to implementation was 4 months, providing sol
e-source control, innovative financing, and increased overall aviation support 6
0% to the program.
*Successfully planned and executed a $2+ million training budget integrating ove
r 200+ requests and mandatory support requirements on an annual basis.
Marine Forces Reserve - New Orleans LA Jul 2004 - Aug 2005
