* Re-engineer a integrated RSView32 and CLX process controls for one the largest
corporate grain elevator facility in Illinois
* The system needed instrumentation upgrades and wireless WAN system setup.
* Many improvements in productivity and through put were achieved by reprogrammi
ng the PLC code and optimizing the RSView32 configuration
* Quote and develop new concepts of Facility designs using Factory Talk SE and n

From concept to commission of a multi-station robotic laser welding cell using
Factory Talk SE with 8 HMI clients including CLX/GLX plc control. This system al
so incorporated a Siemens wireless LAN and Cognex CCTV. Using wire guided AGV to
oling carts to laser bond body side structures for the Toronto and Chicago Trans
it System commuter cars. Intensive data collection and SPC operations were imple
mented. The system was also designed to integrate SCADA operations of 4 existing
welding work cells.

Design, support and commission of the automation for the state of the art body
shop manufacturing facility. Working on the new production equipment and the hou
se SCADA included the integration of the proprietary UNIX based system to the pl
ant floor automation CLX, PLC5 and a mix of Panelview ME and SE applications. Th
e main objective was to validate and correct plant floor build data and alarming
control and assure the information was reported to the corporate WAN.
