PRODUCTION PRE-PRESS TECHNICIAN/ LEAD 1983-2009
Generated varied types of plates for the Pressroom, including polymer, polyester
, paper, and metal plates. Repaired, adjusted, assembled, maintained equipment
in Pre-Press ex.: imagesetters, photo developers, polymer expose units. Maintain
ed and staged inventory supplies from the warehouse using hand trucks and pallet
jacks to facilitate production work flow. Assisted the Bindery/Finishing Dept
s. to meet their goals by utilizing a wide array of mechanical equipment and han
d tools. Aided the QA/QC Depts. with in-process and final inspections as well a
s packing, shrink-wrapping, banding boxes and generating shipping labels and pap
erwork. Dynamically mentored, trained and counseled all new workers in the Pre-P
ress department. Functioned as technical interface between the Pre-Press, Pressr
