Scalability Experts Inc. Coppell Texas 05/2009 - 11/2009
Project Manager/Resource Deployment Manager
Scalability Experts Project Execution Methodology is one of short duration, usua
lly with very focused results. I can describe the types of engagements but canno
t speak about specific tools or customers due to various NDA restrictions. I can
say however that the Company is strictly focused on SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008
exclusively. They are focused on fixing various deployment issues that their cu
stomers have encountered either on their own or from various third parties. I am
responsible first to respond to the draft SOW to ensure it complies with all co
mpany rules and policies and then ensure that the staffing is proper for what is
being asked for in the scope of work. I contact the appropriate Architect and C
onsultant and brief them for the engagement with scope and expectations start da
te etc. When the execution time comes I am the Project Manager responsible for a
ll aspects of delivery of the engagement from day one until completion. Updating
all internal systems that allow consultants to bill their time update their tec
hnical status so that the CTO of the company can review proper progress is being
achieved etc. Every project manager is measured through a direct customer surve
y system (1 being below Expectations 5 Exceeded Expectations) that they never se
e except when the results are either very good or very bad. I have been with Sca
lability Experts for almost seven months and have received 1 five hundred dollar
bonus plus all fives except one 4.5 ( I have managed over 28 Different Projects
). SE has approximately 12 different engagement types that they use to analyze a
nd fix SQL Server problems and suggestions to fix other applications. These span
all application tiers.
