Submitted three patent disclosures (confidential) on F-22 vectoring
nozzle, including unique anchor system to spread loading among several
rows of anchor lugs and a zero strain device for nozzle liners.
Developed structural system to reverse thermal strain on 1000
gradient over " spacing for F22 nozzle.
Innovative design (proven by FEA model) which reduced parts on
mechanism and increased ease of installation of rotor assembly for
JSF rotor. Same idea was proven to engage all teeth on spin.
Patent disclosure on Space Shuttle main engine nozzle using
superconducting materials.
Original idea, first in gas turbine engine industry to use
axisymmetric/symmetric modeling for non-linear solutions, sharply
improving efficiency of analysis for F-22 liners for LCF.
Solved longstanding design flaw in Trident missile launch tubes.
Analysis of weld fabrication and hyper-elastic model electrical
connections. Explicit to Implicit (FEA) analysis conversion.
Developed design/analysis solution for sealing missile launch tube
with leakage problems using hyper-elastic analysis.
Corrected test methods and developed FEA model for the analysis
(fatigue and crack propagation) of torque tube connection.
Found unique, non-destructive solution (hydro-lazing, technology
transfer from Aerospace to Nuclear power), to remove fuel-saturated
seals around backup generators. Completed project 4 weeks ahead of
schedule.
