ARCO / bp: 21 years
RSSP Training Delivery Lead a" 2 years
Being part of the team that roles out a totally new retail register and back off
ice accounting system is a major undertaking. First, contracting for the person
nel to deliver the training, second, guiding the creation of the training curric
ulum, and finally establishing the training layout and locations is a big job.
Development Specialist - 6 years
In this role I acted as the Lead Instructor. At one point, I supervised field a
nd classroom trainers with 3 direct reports. Coaching their development and pol
ishing the delivered curriculum occupies much of the time. I helped to develop
performance driven training. Finding a better way, a new approach or a differen
t exercise to get the message across is rewarding. For a year of this time I wa
s the Lead instructor in both Chicago and Los Angeles. One year I served as the
Alternate for the Training Manager, and worked on a number of diverse project c
ommittees. I have trained almost five hundred dealers and Franchisees, seventy
Franchise Consultants and Field Supervisors, and taught driver training and sex
ual harassment to thousands.
Franchise Consultant - 6years
As a Franchise Consultant I represented the Company to 32 to 36 Dealers and Fran
chisees. Coaching Franchisees on sales and service issues while acting as a con
sultant on control and financial items adds value to the franchise. Supervising
a variety of territories with a very diverse franchisee deck created some inter
esting challenges.
New Store Development/Business Development Specialist - 2 years
In these specialty positions I acted as a liaison between the contractors and th
e Company operations people to take a new store from an empty lot to an operati
ng business. Merchandising creativity and innovation were the key ingredients f
or the development of new and existing stores.

Field Supervisor - 5 years


I supervised ten to fourteen Company Operated sites with near one hundred and fi
fty employees. The responsibilities included hiring and developing people, safe
ty and environmental goals, and customer service enhancement. Bottom line resul
ts produced sixteen quarterly bonuses out of a possible twenty for the managers
and I.
