1. Present Perfect Prezentul perfect

Present Perfect exprimă de obicei o acţiune începută în trecut care durează

şi în prezent sau care s-a încheiat recent. Prezentul perfect se formează cu
ajutorul prezentului auxiliarului to have + participiul trecut al verbului care
este conjugat. În cazul verbelor regulate, participiul trecut se formează prin
adăugarea sufixului ed ca şi în cazul trecutului simplu:

Present Perfect of the verb to be

I have been a teacher all my youth. Am fost profesor toată tinereţea.

You have been tired all morning. Ai fost obosit toată dimineaţa.
She has been happy today. A fost fericită astăzi.
He has been in Paris all week. A fost la Paris toată săptămâna.
We have been friends all our life. Am fost prieteni toată viaţa.
You have been my students for three years. Aţi fost studenţii mei timp de
trei ani.
They have been busy all night. Au fost ocupaţi toată noaptea.
Celelalte verbe neregulate au, la Present Perfect, o singură formă pentru
toate persoanele, formă care trebuie memorată ca atare.

2. either... or / neither... nor fie... fie / nici... nici
