Summary: After completing a 10 year tenure with DeAnza College in Cupertino, Cal
ifornia as a professor of composition and American literature, I have sought new
avenues for my collected talents and skills. As a professor I have written book
s and worked with students of all ages, some returning after years on the work f
orce, others just commencing. In all cases, I have acted as mentor, role model,
and teacher, aiding their development, progress and goals as my talents and time
allowed. My interests and experience are many as my resume will indicate, but s
ince leaving the academy, I have returned to school and trained as a social work
er with an additional course of study in media and film.. Because I am a gifted
intuitive and spirit healer, I have served as an online spiritual counselor, as
a workshop leader, as Red Cross volunteer, at Senior Centers, and substitute and
graduate assistant for the San Jose Unified School District and San Jose State
University. In these capacities, I have met and interacted with the public in al
l of its guises and classes. I have owned a publishing company for 20 years and
interacted with a wide cross section of public and private business people and e
ntities. My outreach extends to many fields and sectors of the workforce. I beli
eve I have the ability, experience, and connections to make an excellent coordin
ator for these youth and to offer guidance and motivation. The sum total of my s
tated abilities--for all of my achievements--do not fully reveal the superior fl
esh and blood of my enthusiasm and energy. My intention is to lead by example an
