 Why Epoxy Requires in Operation Theater

An OT is that specialized facility of the hospital where life saving or life

improving procedures are carried out on human body by invasive methods
under strict aseptic conditions in a controlled environment by specially trained
personnel to promote healing and cure with maximum safety, comfort and
economy

Epoxy flooring system are ideal where a non porous, seamless (joint free),
monolithic dust free surface is required. This makes this system practical
choice for Operation Theater, Clean Room, Laboratories, Production Plant,
Blood Bank, Pharmaceutical Industries.

Epoxy floor has an established record of success where floors are subjected to
severe exposures. The continual soaking of animal fats, grease, oil, many
acids, alkali, sugar, blood, urine, and salt has no effect on its durability.

Easy to Clean:
Self Level Epoxy Floor is completely saturated in epoxy resin, which makes it
non-porous and therefore easy to clean. Only a Damp Mop is necessary for
normal day to day maintenance. For high traffic area an electric scrubber can
be used. In either case epoxy seamless floor system are easy to maintain and
will return to its natural beauty.

Client: Charutar Arogya Mandal, Karamsad

Set up by the late Dr. H.M. Patel, the Charotar Arogya Mandal seeks to
provide the best medical care and facilities for medical education to the
people of Charutar. Founded in 1972, the Mandal has created the HM Patel
Centre for Medical Care and Education at its 100-acre campus in Karamsad.
The Centre includes five institutions of excellence:
Pramukhswami Medical College
Shree Krishna Hospital
GH Patel School of Nursing
LP Patel Institute of Medical Laboratory Technology
KM Patel Institute of Physiotherapy
The Mandal's President is Dr. IG Patel, former Governor of the Reserve
Bank of India. It’s Chairman and Executive Head is Dr. Amrita Patel who
also serves as Chairman of India's National Dairy Development Board.

 Site Details

Floor:

Kota Stone Flooring was done on PCC in the operation theatre. Final finish of Kota
Stone was done by rough grinding to remove unwanted edges and for better adhesion
of self level epoxy flooring.

Wall:

Smooth Mala Finish Plaster was done on Wall. Final finish was done by applying two
coats of White Cement base putty.

Ceiling:

False Ceiling was made by Cement Sheet and final finish was done by applying two
coats of White cement base putty

Coving:

Coving at Wall and Floor junction were done by Polymer modified Mortar.

Description:
MYK INDUFLOOR-EP is basically a two component resin based solvent based
epoxy resin primer with good penetrating properties for concrete surface.

Areas of application:
It is applied in areas as primer for cement based surfaces that will be coated or
loaded with Epoxy Self leveling, epoxy coating or Epoxy Screed For sealing cement
based surfaces in production areas warehouses and ramps

Advantages:
Improves the adhesion of epoxy floor topping and epoxy Mortar with concrete surface

Description
MYK INDUFLOOR EC is a solvent free system based on epoxy resins and curing
agents specially selected for their ability to withstand chemical attack. The system
consists of pre-weighed base & hardener components and a MYK colour paste
pack, all of which contain reactive elements that are essential to the installation of
the system. A slip resistant texture can be provided by the use of one of a range
of MYK Schomburg Antislip Grains which have been carefully graded to ensure an
even texture
