Dear Sir/Dear Madam:
Having spent 14 years contributing to the successes of healthcare
facilities through my expertise in operations management and process
improvements, I now seek the opportunity to lead your company's growth
efforts as its Executive Director of Operations. With extensive
experience providing the planning, development, and advancement of
infrastructures and personnel at high-volume healthcare institutions,
I have bolstered revenues and quality of care by implementing positive
enhancements where opportunities for change were desirable.
A sample of my many accomplishments includes:
* Augmenting revenues $15 million yearly by designing and opening an
outpatient imaging center offering CAT scans, ultrasounds, and
healthy-heart scans, outpatient Coumadin clinic.
* Driving $3 million in revenue by reviving an Occupational Health
program, providing physicals and Occupational Health services to
area businesses, firefighters, and police departments.
* Saving $500K in annual operating expenses by eliminating the use
of outside agency staff.
* Reducing employee turnover from 40% to 3% by initiating a
peer-interview process for potential new hires, increasing
one-on-one interaction with employees, and fostering better
communication among the staff.
* Maintaining superior patient-satisfaction results across all
departments.
* Implementing a patient triage system to decrease from 4% to less
than 1% the number of patients who leave without being seen.

My clinical background and operations experience offer me a unique

perspective in understanding the needs of patients and hospital
administration. As such, I am a hands-on problem solver dedicated to
creating better healthcare facilities and improving the quality of
care received by patients. Although I work well independently, I am
adept at collaborating with teams, mentoring personnel, and teaching
fellow colleagues. My ability to relate well to individuals at many
levels enables me to drive a team to reach its goals, and I am certain
I can do the same for your organization.
Thank you in advance for your consideration. I look forward to hearing
from you.
Sincerely,
Rebecca McPherson
