* Led the testing and maintenance activities required to maintain data integrit
y across multiple databases used by RMW to store financial information (DB2, VSA
M, EXCEL, EDW). Responsible for RMW validations of all large, system-impacting c
hanges.
* Responsible for meeting AT test plan and test case construction, and test exe
cution. Validated System and Integrated Test results.
* Analyzed, with extensive use of EXCEL, the re-engineering of the PARS DB2 app
lication to increase accuracy in financial reporting, for both internal and exte
rnal audiences. This effort resulted in a streamlined, easy to use and maintain
system with excellent data integrity. Effort led to significant savings in cost
and resource allocation.
* Led and conducted extensive data analysis to trace the causes of discrepancie
s in financial journals and reconciliations, identified and corrected out of bal
ance defects in order to successfully meet Corporate Sarbanes/Oxley (SOX) object
ives.
* Brought Billing financial reporting into SOX compliance, personally corrected
100 production defects and raised Ernst & Young audit compliance rating from le
vel 4 to level 2.
* Spearheaded and drove enhancements to the DB2-based Accounts Receivable recon
ciliation process, achieving a 90% improvement within three months through detai
led analysis and correction of journal discrepancies. Received Individual Develo
pment Award, 2002.
* Designed and implemented corrections to New Cash Activity Reconciliations tha
t exceeded Ernst & Young's mandate of differences in data to no greater than 1.0
0%, achieving a difference of only 0.004%. Received Individual Achievement Award
for exceeding audit goal.
