Executive Director - Institutional Advancement
Pursued institutional advancement for 5 community colleges by identifying, secur
ing, and cultivating new and existing donors and spearheading system-wide fundra
ising initiatives, encompassing annual giving, employee giving, major gifts, pla
nned gifts, grant funding, and special events. Oversaw all financial management
of gift receipts, expenditures, and financial transactions and reports. Develope
d and maintained customer relations with all gift donors throughout gift agreeme
nt negotiations and gift usage processes. Provided team leadership for five coll
ege chief development officers to coordinate efforts and guided fundraising stra
tegies. Garnered fundraising support from community leaders by forging and maint
aining relationships with 25-member Board of Directors for Alamo Community Colle
ge District (ACCD) Foundation; served as Executive Director of the Foundation. C

funds from $0 to $5.5M, and annual cash flow from $300K to over $2M since 1997.
* Increased long-term annual donors (5+ years) from 200 to 2K+ by building stron
g relationships and strengthening donor support commitments.
* Played key role in growing annual grant funding from $9.7M to $40.2M from 2002
-2006. Built annual employee giving program from ground up; partnered with Unite
d Way of Bexar County to utilize online system. Achieved $147K employee giving t
o United Way and ACCD Foundation in 2008, the highest amount to date.
