* Led cross-functional team responsible for the merger of McJunkin and Red Man P
ipe & Supply. Successfully consolidated overlapping branches and converted all l
ocations and customers over to common IT system. Project was completed ahead of
schedule and provided synergy benefits of over $8 million.
* Directed Tompkins Associates in a consulting assignment to conduct an end-to-e
nd Supply Chain assessment and the development of an Operational Excellence Tran
sition Plan. The assessment identified $180 million in working capital reduction
s, $7 million in transportation savings, and $2 million in warehouse savings.
* Championed changes in operational policies and procedures in order to ensure S
OX compliance.
* Led team of warehouse experts responsible for improving distribution operation
s. Improving efficiency in distribution hubs successfully reduced effective tran
sfer rate from 7% to less than 4%. This translated into an annual cost savings o
f over $2 million.
* Led team responsible for transforming Regional Distribution Center in Houston,
TX into a best in class Valve and Automation center. Championed team to obtain
ISO certification for this location.
