A professional services company to the GPS navigation and digital mapping indust
ry.
Led six-member test team with responsibilities for the overall testing of the na
vigation software which involved bench and field testing. Bench testing included
both automated and manual testing.
Successfully directed an effort to produce test plans for all functional areas o
f the navigation systems to be tested in over 50 cities across the world. Test p
lans included automated and manual bench testing and field testing.
Developed comprehensive specification documentation for navigation software and
datasets.
Managed all customer communications from proposal to final deliverables.
Implemented process improvements to verify and improve the quality of the Point
of Interest (POI) data.
Wrote detailed custom reports with analysis, test results, guidance for product
improvements and executive summaries.

Led development of the Honda/Acura MY05 navigation application build upon a new
core platform built by Alpine Japan. The project was conducted under extremely
tight deadlines. The application formed the basis for all future navigation pro
ducts developed by Alpine.

InfoGation Corporation is an independent software supplier to the automotive ind
ustry. InfoGation was a pioneer in the development of in-vehicle navigation soft
ware and developed several commercial OEM and aftermarket navigation and communi
cations solutions for Tier-1 and OEM manufacturers. InfoGation Corporation was a
cquired by BSQUARE Corporation in March 2002.
Conducted day-to-day management of all facets of the Odyssey, the InfoGation's f
irst aftermarket navigation product. Went on to lead N6, N7 and N7b, a series of
navigation releases for a key European OEM company. Role included creation of
project plans, tracking projects to schedule, reporting status to management and
ensuring that projects were customer focused.
Developed technical documentation including the functional requirements, functio
nal specifications and design documents.
Responsible for recruitment, retention and development of staff, including caree
r planning, mentoring, performance management, salary planning and administratio
n.
Worked closely with sales and marketing teams to prepare responses to proposals
and inquiries.
Oversaw product testing including joint test trials with customers.

Opto 22 is a manufacturer of hardware and software solutions for the process con
trol industry. Applications include enterprise management, remote monitoring and
control, industrial automation, and data acquisition.
Designed and implemented compilers to convert obsolete control language formats
to the latest format versions for the OptoControl product.
