RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Budget Planning, P&L Control, Best Practice Development, contract negotiation
and roll out with an operational budget of 20 million.
* Improved cost service and quality by using continuous improvement methodologie
s which improved productivity and capacity that allowed for the consolidation of
two distribution centers resulting in a cost savings of $11.2 million.
* Coordinated complete Supply Chain Plan for new marble product line in 2006.
* Reduced shuttle expense by securing back haul rates for our Richmond, Va and R
ochester, NY facilities resulting in a 1.3 million savings annually.
* Initiated, developed, negotiated, and secured all LTL, TL, Ground transportati
on rates company wide. Including but not limited to; min. charges, FAK's, FSC, e
tc. with Conway, NEMF, A.Pyle, Fed Ex, UPS.
* Green initiative - conserved and reduced energy costs by researching state ene
rgy conservation programs and worked with approved contractors to create plan an
d oversee installment of new energy efficient lighting and HVAC for MA, CT, and
NJ warehouses with projected savings of $225,000.
* Facilitated real-time information flow within and beyond the four walls of our
company wide warehouse facilities by creating our business development plan for
the installation of an improved warehouse management system.
* Initiated, negotiated and implemented company contracts in relation to transpo
rtation, waste management, operational equipment, employment recruiting, TPM (to
tal productive maintenance) of facilities.

TRIANGLE DISTRIBUTION 2001 to 2004


General Operations Manager
General Operations Manager responsible for all aspects of operations within two
Jersey City, NJ and one North Bergen, NJ distribution / warehousing / consolidat
ion centers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Overall duties include management of warehouse/distribution activities, transp
ortation logistics, human resources, customer billing, warehouse processes, and
full accountability of all facility P&L's with an operating annual budget of 4.
2 million and a staff of 85 on average.
* Deliver service improvement, cost reduction and quality assurance in process l
ogistics, routing, packaging, pick/pack, GOH, shipping, consolidation and wareho
using of a large customer base including but not limited to Steve Madden, Tommy
Hilfiger, South Pole with an on hand inventory of $60 million
* Manage daily operations relating to but not limited to the process of ocean im
port container / airfreight merchandise with an average receipt of 8,000 carton
s daily.
* Responsible for the total setup, coordination and management of a new 150,000
square foot distribution center for Steve Madden servicing 86 retail stores as
well as their wholesale customers. Projected shipping of 5.4 million pair annual
ly.
FEDERATED LOGISTICS 1990 to 2001
Operations Manager
Logistics Manager responsible for all inbound/outbound carrier flow and on time
delivery for Macy's East and Bloomingdales stores with maximum activity of 550 t
railers daily within the Secaucus DC.
1997-2001: Operations Manager responsible for coordinating the transition and st
art up of the Bloomingdales Pool Stock Operation from Long Island, NY to the Way
ne, NJ distribution center. Operations Manager for both Bloomingdales and Stern
's Pool Stock operations servicing west coast, midwest and northeast territories
.
1994-1997: Promoted to Area Operations Manager responsible for the Macy's Electr
onic Customer Delivery servicing the Northeast, the Stern's Reserve Stock Operat
ion, and the Macy's RDS Rug Operation.
1990-1994: Area Supervisor in charge of High Risk Security Merchandise, the A&S
Herald Square Reserve Stock Operation and A&S/Jordan Marsh Customer Delivery Poo
l Stock Operation.
