TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:
Power-tech Engineers, Inc, Walnut, CA: June2009 to October2010
Root Cause Analysis of 245kV SF6 circuit Breaker Failure
* Worked with the team to investigate reason behind circuit breaker failure. Per
formed extensive field testing to obtain data for analysis. Reviewed various res
earch papers (IEEE) to investigate suitability of breaker application as a gener
ator breaker. Simulated the system in ATP and SKM ground grid model to investiga
te transient recovery voltage (TRV) and ground potential rise (GPR).
Feasibility Study
* Model 88MW generator into PSLF base case, solve the base case. Modified SSTOOL
S control file, run the simulation and find out the delta voltage and thermal lo
ading violation results for n-1 and n-2 contingencies.
Field Test Engineer: Sept2009 to March2010
Sylmar As-built Project for LA DWP
* Reviewed old DWP wiring drawings for Sylmar HVDC Converter Station.
* Created new wiring drawings for 500 kV DC yard for Sylmar East and DC harmoni
c filters wiring drawings for Sylmar West using the existing ABB plant circuit d
iagrams.
* Red marked old wiring drawings and referred those drawings to new wiring drawi
ngs.
* Field verification of all new and red marked old wiring drawings.

Operation Engineer: April-2007 to August -2008
