21st century.

Protection Relay Equipment – CMC 356

The latest member of the successful and world-leading CMC 3 x 860VA, 1 x 1000VA) and four voltage outputs (4 x 300V),
test set family. With extremely high output currents (6 x 32A, the CMC 356 allows the testing of protection relays of all
3 x 64A, 1 x 128A), incomparable output power (6 x 430VA, types and all generations; from the latest numerical protec-
tion to older electro-mechanical relays, with their very high
burdens. Additionally, the CMC 356 is fully capable of testing
in the IEC 61850 environment with modules for GOOSE and
Sampled Values (SV). Additional applications such as the
testing and calibration of energy meters, transducers, power
quality meters can be satisfied and the unique EnerLyzer Option
- allowing the recording and analysis of transient events -
complete the high performance package. The CMC 356, a
true universal tool for secondary testing applications!

High-precision Calibrator/Tester – CMC 256plus

The CMC 256plus is the right choice if high-precision is
required. It offers not only complete relay testing capabilities
but also high accuracy for measurement applications,
including the calibration of meters up to class 0.2,
transducers, power quality meters and synchrophasor
measurement devices. It is unique in that its sources are
also the reference and so no additional reference meter is
required.

Multi-functional Primary Test Set – CPC 100

The CPC 100 is the complete tool for substation other features. Applications cover the testing of power
commissioning and maintenance, it provides high output transformers, current transformers (CT), voltage/potential
currents (800A or 2000A) and voltage (2000V), various transformers (VT/PT), circuit breakers, primary relays, ground/
measurement inputs, an integrated timer and many earth resistance and much more. The wide frequency range
(15Hz - 400Hz) enables measurements to be made at
frequencies other than the mains avoiding interference from
power system noise. Its digital signal generation provides
high output signal quality and accuracy. The CPC 100 includes
an embedded PC and an integrated front-panel control
allowing it to be compact and easy to use. The patented
device is light-weight and portable (29kg) - a complete
toolbox for the commissioning engineer.

Tan Delta / Power Factor and Capacitance Test Set – CP TD1

The TD1 is an accessory for the CPC 100. Its output of up to The combination of CPC 100 + TD1 is a complete transformer
12kV allows it to measure tan delta, power factor, dissipation diagnosis system, with tests such as ratio, vector group,
factor and capacitance on power transformers, generators, winding resistance, on-load tap changer (OLTC), excitation
motors, CTs and VTs, providing laboratory precision for mea- current, short-circuit impedance, leakage reactance as well as
surement in the field (tan delta: ± 0.1%, capacitance: tan delta/power factor.
± 0.05%).

Line Impedance / k-Factor Measurement Set – CP CU1
Another accessory for the CPC 100, the CU1 is a unique
measurement system for testing overhead lines and
high-voltage cables to determine important and sensitive
parameters for the setting of protection, such as the line
impedance (Z), line angle (j), k-Factor (k0) and mutual
coupling. The use of non-mains frequency quantities offers a
very effective suppression of mains-related interference.

Current Transformer Test Set – CT Analyzer

The CT Analyzer is a revolutionary test set for CT testing and
calibration. Small and lightweight (8kg), the CT Analyzer
automatically tests all of the parameters of CTs, including
the ratio, phase error, accuracy/class, winding resistance,
excitation curve and knee-points. It also fully determines the
accuracy limiting factor (ALF) e.g. 5P20 or the class, such as
0.1 FS10, without the need for re-wiring during the test. The
unique low-frequency method allows testing of knee-points
of up to 15kV. For the ratio and phase displacement, the
CT Analyzer provides an accuracy of 0.02%, which allows the IEC 60044-6 and IEEE C57.13-1999 and can, therefore, also
testing and calibration of metering CTs up to class 0.1. The test Class X and Class P CTs, as well as those designed to
CT Analyzer fully supports the industry standards IEC 60044-1, classes TPX, TPY and TPZ.

Moisture Measurement in Transformers – DIRANA

The penetration of moisture into the oil/paper insulation the transformer and therefore, provides valuable additional
of power transformers can have dangerous effects, as it information on the insulation integrity.
decreases its dielectric withstand strength and accelerates
the aging of the cellulose. Conventional water measurement
techniques concentrate on the transformer oil. DIRANA
however, analyzes the water content of the solid insulation
(paper, pressboard), which contains the majority of the water
in the transformer (typically 200 times more than is found
in the oil). Using the dielectric response method, DIRANA
automatically measures and analyzes the water content of

Partial Discharge Testing – MPD 600

Covering the complete application range, from generators, is the only truly digital PD test equipment available complying
motors, transformers, to cables and accessories, the MPD 600 fully to IEC 60270. Its fully digital real-time filter allows
multi-channel synchronous PD measurement for excellent
noise suppression, PD separation and localization. Testing
of 3-phase equipment, such as generators or transformers,
is possible with three channels measuring simultaneously
to localize and separate the PD sources. For PD testing on
cables, the MPD 600 provides high accuracy and ensures low
system noise for very accurate measurements. Software tools,
such as 3PARD and 3CFRD, allow automatic PD separation
and provide great assistance in the analysis of the results.
