Work History:
Jan 2009 to Mar 2010 -- I did several projects for Washington Employers (contact
Susan Fitzgerald Director of Business Operations 206.664.7197 ) including the m
igration of a FoxPro 2.5 Pensions Management application to VB.NET; which includ
ed the redesign of the underlying DB and legacy data to SQL Server 2008. I also

Sept 2002 to Dec 2008 -- I was the principle Developer for Health Services
Northwest (contact Alicia Lemmon, HR - 425-697-3703), creating a wide variety of
work flow, database and reporting applications for the RBO. This was primarily
done via a Visual Basic front end to Microsoft SQL Server and OLE utilization of
most of the MS Office suite. I designed and maintained the SQL Server based dat
a-mart/distribution system from which claim data was moved to the respective cli
ents (and vendors) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Not only did this invol
ve extensive DTS automation on the import and export of claim records, but the a
utomation of FTP transfers, email notifications distribution, as well the delive
ry of records to text files, Excel Workbooks and Word .doc files. The Repositor
y was also the source for a large system of reporting done both weekly and month
ly. Our primary destination for reports was Excel Workbooks, taking advantage of
OLE to provide extensive formatting and custom augmentations. Primary among the
se was the pumping in of DCOM ActiveX class object code to provide special Hot K
ey macro functionality. In Denial Code reporting, for instance, clients could hi
t a hot key and get all claim detail info underlying a particular Denial Code Ro
ll-up. Also did extensive analysis and customization of the SSI Claims Billing
software via the underlying SQL Server Database.
Sept 2001 to Sept 2002 - General Applications development for Tully's Coffee
(contact Kathy Hasegawa - 206-233-2070). Utilized MS Access & Visual Basic for
ad hoc Accounting applications (Deposits Reconciliation, Stockholder database et
c.).
Dec 1999 to June 2001 - General applications developer, and trouble
shooter, for Entech Solutions (no long in business). Worked on various stand al
one Access and Visual Basic custom programs, as well as VB front ends to MS SQL,
for Entech clients Moss Adams, Seattle Fir Exchange, The Cobalt Group, and the
Washington State Printing Office. Did extensive customizing work with financial
packages such as "Great Plains" and "Solomon," as well as debugging support for
the program "Profit Mentor" (developed and marketed by Moss Adams). Also wrote
numerous Access reporting applications for same clients in the Sales & Financia
ls tracking area.
Jan 1999 to August 1999 - General applications Developer for Louis Kemp Sea
Foods (purchased by Bumble Bee). I worked on numerous Access reporting applicat
ions, including the automated emailing of Sales breakdowns to regional sales man
agers, and brokerage firms, as well as financials tracking reporting.

Gates (law firm) through Solutions IQ. Wrote numerous VB front end to MS SQL da
tabase applications for the firm ("Pleadings Management", "Microfilm Tracking" a
nd "Submissions Tracking"). Also critical Access management reporting apps incl
uding the "Missing Time" report which automated email warnings to staff lawyers
missing billing time.
June 1997 to Dec 1997 - Six month emergency contract with Washing Mutual bank th
rough the Triad Group. A new version of an appraisals tracking program required
moving data from previous version into completely new MS SQL table structure, p
reserving link keys in an enforced integrity environment. I Wrote a universal d
ata translator in Access to accomplish task.
