nerator), $100 MM. Work included: Design of new units; tie-in to existing refine
ry piping and utilities; increasing sulfur storage and loading capacity; re-rati
ng of existing lines and equipment.
* Managed grass roots sulfur block project for Columbian refinery expansion (fro
m 50,000 to 150,000 BPD), $180 MM. Included: The above plus close coordination w
ith design work in four other locations handling additional aspects of the expan
sion.

* Managed a $24 MM refinery-wide flare H2S mitigation and VOC and HRVOC complian
ce project to comply with TECQ State Implementation Plan. Work involved a total
of seven plant flares including: Correlation and analysis of flare emissions dat
a; identification and analysis of BACT; specification, design; and installation
of flare flow meters; sample probes; flare flame monitoring equipment; and flare
flame temperature controls; required piping revamps; flow measurement and analy
sis equipment.

* Represented client, as Project Manager, for a $40 MM Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel p
roject revamp. Project included: Addition of one HDS reactor and associated pipi
ng revamps; expansion of compression capacity; re-rating of feed exchangers; air
condenser re-design; and hydrogen supply enhancements.

te Implementation Plan (SIP) compliance.
* Managed a 35,000 BPSD gasoline desulfurization project using Phillips S Zorb t
echnology.
* Managed a fast-track revamp project to produce depentanized light straight run
gasoline ($3.6 MM), increasing profits by $37,000/day in summer gas blending se
ason.

* Negotiated settlement with design contractor saving Phillips over $4 MM.
* Executed EPC of fast-track grassroots gasoline desulfurization unit using Phil
lips S Zorb technology ($26 MM). The unit was successfully completed on schedule
and under budget bringing this full-scale demonstration unit on line.
* A $140 MM grass roots CCR Reformer project.
* Successfully led multi-discipline team to optimize project specifications resu
lting in a $3 MM project savings.
* Design and construction of 200 MMSCFD ($8 MM) grass roots gas treating facilit
y.
* Engineered fast-track design of $7 MM Gulf of Mexico (GOM) gas field productio
n platform and production pipeline. Design successfully completed but not instal
led.
* Led screening study to determine viability of development of GOM field ($2 MM)
.
* Directed engineering effort as Project Engineer on two simultaneous storage ca
vern control modification projects ($11 MM) required due to change in safety reg
ulations. The modifications were successfully implemented with minimal impact on
operations and in advance of regulatory deadline.
* Engineered a boiler control management upgrade project ($2 MM) that was succes
sfully implemented with no impact on operations.
