Position Held: President (Temp Position)
Assumed the management of the day to day operations after the principle owner fi
red the previous president and staff and moved the company from Denison, TX to C
arrollton, TX. Managed the construction of 30 projects which included water trea
tment and waste water treatment facilities in the north Texas area being constru
cted by 10 journeymen and 32 apprentice electricians. Attended monthly project m
eeting and met with Owners, Engineers and General Contractors to facilitate requ
ired submittals, material and equipment purchasing, shipment and deliveries as w
ell as project staffing. Made site visits to inspect work-in-progress for qualit
y of work, safety and construction progress. Attended project start up meetings
with site electricians and did monthly progress billing.
7/07 to 2/10 Landmark Structures Fort Worth, TX
Position Held: Estimator, Cost Analysis
Duties:
Prepare budgets for municipal water tower installations, review bid specificatio
ns and prepare bid proposals for 300,000 through 3,000,000 gallon composite wate
r tower projects. Create cost analysis from completed projects, solicit RFQ's fo
r various project components, maintain materials cost analysis for bidding, esti
mating and budgeting future projects. Review and update current estimating progr
am with changes in construction techniques. Write new estimating programs for va
rious other storage tank constructions and repair activities. Write various Exce
l based programs for use by construction management for material take offs and o
rdering materials.

Duties:
Responsible for the management and execution of major industrial construction pr
ojects including RFP solicitations, contractor evaluation and selection, enginee
ring, construction, startup testing, performance testing, and environmental comp
liance testing. Manage construction projects, review bi-weekly and monthly const
ruction progress reports, set project quality and safety standards, review proje
ct construction schedule with Project Managers, visit construction sites and rev
iew work in progress, meet with project owners and engineers to review construct
ion.

Duties:
Manage estimating projects from $250M to $1.5B with a staff of 35 multi-discipli
ned project engineers. Meet with potential customers' representatives, visit pro
posed EPC, Design Build construction site, evaluate customers RFP, estimate a "b
all park" construction cost, develop estimating schedule, assemble estimating st
aff, define scope of work for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, Electrical
and Instrumentation Lead Estimators.
Lead the team in the conceptual design of the work from RFP scope or solicitatio
n specifications. Manage construction estimate based on conceptual model, develo
p and estimate indirect construction cost including construction mobilization/de
mobilization, construction management staff, construction site development, unio
n and non-union craft wages, craft crew sizes, construction equipment mobilizati
on and utilization, construction schedule, manpower utilization, insurance, bond
s and taxes, warranty expenses, escalated expenses, contingencies and risk facto
rs; review customer's contract with terms and conditions, develop subcontract sc
ope of work, solicit subcontractor bids, prepare subcontract evaluation, develop
construction comparisons with previous projects, assemble and present construct
ion estimate to marketing and management staff.
Upon award of contract I would schedule a Hand-off meeting with the construction
crew and pass the complete conceptual model and construction estimate. After th
e construction crews moved to the engineer's office I would then monitor the con
struction design to insure it coincided with the conceptual model.
Manage the conceptual estimate of multiple EPC Design Build projects consisting
of Simple and Combined Cycle Power Plants from 80 to 1000MW, Critical and Super
Critical Coal Fired Power Plants to 750MW, Geothermal Generating Plants to 150MW
, Offshore Natural Gas and Oil Drilling Platforms and Compressor Platforms, Tar
Sands Oil Extraction, Sulphur Extraction Plants, Hydrogen Extraction Plants and
SAG D Oil Extraction Projects from customer's RFP, single lines, P&ID's and rela
ted drawings. Systems include GE 7FA, Westinghouse WF501F Gas Turbines, Heat Rec
overy Steam Generators, Critical and Super-Critical Steam Generators, various St
eam Turbine Generators, Coal handling, Coal unloading and storage, Ash handling
and landfill, Raw water extraction, Clean water injection, Water Treatment syste
ms, Cooling Towers, Air Cooled Condensers, Zero Discharge systems, Continuous Em
ission Monitoring, CEMs systems, Instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems DC
S, Power Distribution systems ranging from 135kV to 480 volt, and Switchyards. D
evelop construction labor rates and material cost, electrical construction sched
