Currently, I am seeking one of the following types of positions: Financial Plann
ing and Analysis (FP Senior financial management, strategic planning, intellectu
al property (IP) assessment, valuation and research analysis, development and pr
ogramming of complex financial models, competitive intelligence gathering, draft
ing / merger / acquisition / joint venture / licensing. Managing and directing c
omplex litigation in conjunction with forensic fraud analysis. Complex computer
models are generally utilized by Sr. Management to assist in evaluating very dif
ficult and critical decisions that may have multiple options.
February 2003 to present:
* From November 2004 to approximately May 2007:
Assisted family members in a protracted Estate settlement. The requests before t
he Court for all the filings made "Pro se" were successful. I gained extensive i
nsight into the process of handling and drafting detailed documents before the C
ourt, the difficulties in drafting the story and selecting the appropriate case
law (including RCW's) to support one's case.
* From summer of 1998 to present:
I have worked and am still working to transfer/sell my wife and our family owner
ship/shareholder's interest in TSDI and the IP (IP/Technology) developed in TSDI
, which has been further detailed below in my employment history. Also assisted
or prepared the following: composing whitepapers, developed PowerPoint Slide pre
sentations - detailing the history of prior product versions, financial computer
modeling results, diagrams detailing operating system engineering features, IP
product matrix(s) diagrams. Also, I have composed letters, e-mails, and faxes to
interested parties, written business plans for bankruptcy filings, drafted and
reviewed numerous types of legal agreements (briefs, declarations, depositions,
complaints, and others), and prepared documents for Court ordered mediations and
arbitration cases. Worked and interfaced with DoD technical personnel.
* Since the summer of 2007 to present:
Pursuing my interest in IP, writing a book currently titled "Patent Jacket(c)201
0". It reveals the long patent prosecution history of several patent wrappers (j
acket(s)) and individuals, generally associated with some of the largest corpora
tions in the software, hardware, and military defense. The story explains how an
d with whom the "IP/Technology" eventually reaches the market place and the impa
ct on our community.
Experience prior to February 2003:
Sr. Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), - Metawave Communications C
orporation 1/2001 - 1/ 2003
Responsible for planning, managing complex special projects, accounting process
es, creating business models, corporate valuation models, federal and state fili
ngs, strategic planning, insurance loss assessments, and profit and loss reviews
. Metawave was a publicly traded SEC filed company traded on the NASDAQ. The Com
pany had over 350 employees at its peak. Metawave developed and manufactured sma
rt antenna technology for the wireless industry. Verizon and China Telecom were
their biggest clients. Metawave filed for Federal Bankruptcy in January of 2003.
I received outside training on SEC & CPA reporting requirements.
Chief Financial Officer / Technical Consultant, - Light Point Systems, Inc. 10/1
999 - 6/2000
Hired to analyze and prepare the Company to go through due-diligence with a maj
or security firm that had committed to raise $10 million dollars on behalf of th
e Company. After my review and confirmation by outside CPAs and Legal Counsel th
e Company agreed it could not pass SEC requirements to raise money.
Chief Information Officer / Technical Consultant, - Trusted Systems Design, Inc.
(TSDI) / Secure Systems Technology, Inc. (SSTi) 1996 - 1999
Responsibilities included, developing strategic business plans, preparation of
white papers on the Companies' technology, creation of product literature, compe
titive intelligence gathering and market analysis. Initiated and developed relat
ionships both nationally and internationally with strategic government agencies
and industry leaders. The Company (TSDI) was involved in developing a secure ope
rating system for PC Class computers and currently holds key algorithms, copyrig
hts and trade secrets related to U.S. Patents #5,144,659 and # 5,289,540 - "Comp
uter file protection system" and the advances made after January 16th, 1996.
Director of Strategic Planning, - Stellar One Corporation 1994 - 1996
Co-founder and instrumental in transferring key IP from SkyPix/Starcan Bankrupt
cy into the Company. Also, I assisted the Sr. V.P. of Marketing in preparing and
making presentations for the purpose of raising funds. The fund raising efforts
ranged from interested parties both nationally and internationally. The Compani
es' set-top box is now shown by the Smithsonian Institution as an innovation of
the first set-top box.
Strategist and Expert Witness, - Bonneville Pacific Corporation, Salt Lake City,
Utah. 1993 - 1995
Worked directly as a consultant with lead counsel Leo Beus, Beus Gilbert LLC. -
Phoenix Arizona, on behalf of the U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee in financial, legal,
fraud, and forensic case and project analysis of this publically traded company.
Demonstrated skills as an expert witness and in the analysis of strategic case
issues. Over $200 million dollars in damages were awarded after trial. The Compa
ny was an independent electrical power supplier and developer. Headquartered in
Salt Lake, City, Utah.
Partner-In-Charge / Management Advisory Services, - Kenneth Leventhal & Co. (now
E&Y) 1988 - 1993
Originally the Managing Partner for Christopfel, Stabler & Company, I grew the
business 110% and sold/merged it in 1992 to Kenneth Leventhal & Company, the 8th
largest CPA firm in the world. Specializing in consulting and accounting servic
es for real estate, savings and loan institutions, financial computer modeling,
litigation support, high-tech and software companies and writing strategic busin
ess plans. Managed the overall practice, hired technical / consulting staff, and
performed P&L responsibilities. Kenneth Leventhal & Co. merged into Ernest & Yo
ung (E&Y), effective June 1, 1995.
Vice President of Corporate Finance, - Piper, Jaffray & Hopwood, Inc. 1985 - 198

As a member of the executive team for this large regional investment banking fi
rm, managed initial and secondary public offerings for QFC, Bonneville Pacific C
orp., WTD Corp., and Carver Corp. Drafted public underwriting documents, negotia
ted contracts, designed and presented road show presentations in both national a
nd European market places.
Manager of the Management Advisory Services, - Moss Adams & Company 1978 - 1985
Managed a five-member advanced financial computer modeling and consulting team
for the 4th largest certified public accounting firm in the Pacific Northwest Re
gion. Programmed and prepared complex financial computer models designed to pres
ent financial projections, statements, and footnotes under GAAP. We achieved, wi
thin a three year period, over $1million in annual revenues. Responsible for all
project management, most projects ranged from 100-400 man hrs. All team members
were advanced degreed professionals (CPA's & MBA's and/or MS-Tax) in related sp
ecialties. Directed the architecture / programming / peer review / of the comput
er modeling projects for merger and acquisitions, tax planning, public and priva
te securities financings, leverage leasing, real estate, large construction proj
ects, employment downsizing planning, and electrical power plant financings.
