PARISH COUNCIL ELECTION RESULTS:

FIRST FRIDAY ADORATION: Friday, June 3 is the First
Friday of the month. There will be exposition of the
Blessed Sacrament at 8:00p with the recitation of the
rosary. Adoration will continue throughout the night
and will close with Mass on Saturday at 8:00a.
CHARISMATIC PRAYER MEETING will be Friday, June
3 at 11:00a in the Church. For more information, con-

COFFEE & DONUTS will follow the
8:30 & 11:00a masses Sunday, June 5 in
the Parish Life Center. This is a great
opportunity to meet and welcome new
parishioners.
Thanks to all who voted in the recent elec-

individuals willing to act as members of Par-
ish Council as consultants to Msgr.
Ciotola. We congratulate the newly-

MONTHLY BAPTISM CLASS is scheduled for Sun-

Race is a wonderful minis-

lumbus—just 3.6 miles
from OLV.
It was developed by Rachel Muha in lov-
ing memory of her son, Brian Muha, who
was killed 10 years ago. This center espe-
cially fosters health and happiness
through spiritual and emotional develop-
ment for kids ages 3-18 years olds.

CATECHISTS NEEDED FOR NEXT
YEAR 2011
2011--12:
The Religious Education office is look-
ing for a few wonderful volunteers who are
interested in teaching children of the parish in
the ways of the Catholic Faith. The potential
catechist must, first of all, be a person of faith
who is committed to living the life of our
Catholic values and the life of Christ.
Also, if you love to work with children and have a
creative approach with them, you would be a blessing to
our program. Grades 1st, 4th, and 5th are in need of new
catechists. A training session will be held late this summer
for those who feel they need additional background to
teach. Our Religious Education program follows the public
school calendar and occurs on Sunday mornings from
9:30am-10:45am. Please contact Mrs. Schechter, DRE, at

DIOCESE OF COLUMBUS SAFE ENVIRONMENT PRO-
GRAM: OLV will follow the Diocese of Columbus Safe Envi-
ronment Program which states all volunteers, age 18 years
or older, volunteering in parish programs or ministries who
have been delegated care, custody or control of children,
must complete the following requirements prior to work-
ing with children: Attend a Protecting God’s Children ses-
sion and have a BCI&I background check done. Please go

Parish” tab, scroll down to “Protecting God’s Children”;
there you will find instructions on how to register for a ses-
sion and where to get a BCI&I background check done. If

SUCCESSFUL CLOTHING DRIVE The OLV
St. Vincent de Paul Society thanks all pa-
rishioners who helped make their recent
clothing drive a success. Whether you were
a worker or a donator of clothing and/or linens, your help
was greatly appreciated. Eighty seven bags of items were
collected. The generosity of the people in our parish is al-
ways heart warming.

cludes a Mass celebrated by Bishop Frederick F. Camp-
bell and a reception in your honor. Registration forms

HOLY FAMILY CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN MOTH-
ERS AND LADIES GUILD will host Father Angelus
Shaughnessy, National Executive Director of the Con-
fraternity of Christian Mothers, on Saturday June 18th
beginning with brunch at 10:00a in the church under-

THE ST. CHARLES ANNUAL PLATINUM REUNION will
be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. It is open to all
graduates and former students (and their family mem-
bers) from the Classes of 1927-1960 from both the
Preparatory High School and St. Charles Borromeo Col-
lege. This event honors the school’s earliest alumni
and those former graduates and faculty members who
have died. Surviving spouses are especially encouraged
to attend in tribute to their husbands. A special Mass
will be held in the Mother of Mercy Chapel at 10:30
a.m. followed by lunch in the Campus Theatre's Cav-
ello Center. A tour of campus, including a visit to the
St. Charles Museum, is also scheduled. The meal is
complimentary but we ask that you reserve your spot
with St. Charles alumni director Louis J. Fabro ’83 to
ensure there is plenty of food on hand for all. He can

CELEBRATE AND REVERENCE GOD’S VISION
FOR MARRIED LOVE AND LIFE: Whether you’re

Family Planning (NFP) can help you and your spouse

shops will be offered in two locations and dates this

workshops are offered through the Marriage and

ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS AT BISHOP READY
HS: Once again, Bishop Ready High School will be
sponsoring various sports summer camps for ele-
mentary, middle, and high school students. More

INDIAN HERITAGE DAY: Our Lady of Consolation
Shrine, Carey OH will be hosting an Indian Heritage
Day Sunday, June 12. Mass at 12:00N followed with
lunch at the Shrine Cafeteria; concluding with Devo-
tions at 2:30p and individual praying. We hope all
will consider this invitation to come and celebrate
our journey of faith, hope and healing.

EUCHARISTIC FESTIVAL OF PRAISE: The next Eucharistic Festival of Praise in the Cincinnati area will take place
at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish on the north side. It will be Saturday, June 18, 2011, from 7:30 pm - 9:30
pm. The St. Max praise & worship group "Rain" will lead music at the festival. Saint Maximilian Kolbe Parish is
