Associates is architecture and engineering firm located in Chicago, Illinois and

As a Project Manager for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Savan
nah District, I was part of the team to relocate the Armor School from Fort Knox
to Fort Benning, Georgia. Congress initiated this relocation with the Base Real
ignment and Closure (BRAC) program. My supervisors with the USACE were Tim Corle
y, Chief of Military Programs (912) 547-4763, Joe Savage, Senior Project Manager
(912) 547-3277 and Pete Odie (SES) Savannah District. I was a direct employee b
y Parsons during this contract to USACE.
In this position, I was located on base at Fort Benning and was involved with th
e $ 3.5 billion dollar BRAC program. The BRAC program consisted of over 170 majo
r projects required to facilitate the movement of the Armor School to Fort Benni
ng. I primarily worked with the Engineering Resident Office of George Condyonis
in the Harmony Church cantonment area. The projects required to relocate the Arm
or School include IT and telecommunications deployment, bridge construction, roa
d construction, barracks construction, command and brigade headquarters building
s, battle labs, simulation facilities, ranges, infrastructure and warehouses. My
responsibilities varied as the Fort Benning Program progressed. I aided in proj
ect identification and submission including compliance with the National Environ
mental Protection Act (NEPA) and the Fish and Wildlife Department. I also was re
sponsible for managing specific projects under construction (Design Build & Bid
Build), the development and deployment of an Information Technology and Telecomm
unications Strategy. . I also interfaced with Washington DC through the ACSIM an
d TRADOC commands, provided liaison with the Department of Public Works (DPW) an
d briefed the Commanding General or Flag Officer level Army officers.
