Supervised and worked with a staff of five Safety Officers to include being resp
onsible for the Safety, Health and Welfare of 1, 300 city employees; Audited, im
plemented and enforced OSHA, EPA and EPD Compliance. Responsibilities included:
* Ensured legislative compliance with OSHA, EPA, EPD and AFD codes, and serve as
liaison for local Fire, Police, EPA/EPD and OHSA representative.
* Conducted workplace safety and training by identifying, analyzing and developi
ng opportunities through audits, observations and process data analysis in the W
astewater, Drinking Water and Sewer repair crews for the City of Atlanta
* Have written Job Safety Analysis for hazardous jobs.
* Implemented environmental health and safety policies and procedures for four W
aste Water Treatment facilities by establishing the Safety Management System for
four of the largest treatment facility in the Southeast area; resulting in redu
cing the occupational injuries from 35% to 5.9% Industry Average.
* Created new and updated Worker's Compensations and Return-to-Work Policies; de
veloped safety analysis and communication plans which improved work production t
hus saving the City of Atlanta millions of dollars in workers compensation claim

* Establish environmental management programs. Documentation system, monitoring
and corrective action procedure for CERCLA, SPCC Plan, SWPP Plan and AST's (Abov
eground Storage Tanks) and Chemical Threshold Quantities for a LQG.
* Maintain information for EPCRA (SARA Title lll) for engineer's approval.
* Followed compliance with OSHA, EPA, EPD, NIOSH, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act
and other state and local government requirements which minimized the safety ex
posure and risk for City of Atlanta employees, to include private citizens whic
h achieved minimum injuries to loss of life, wildlife and property damage.
* Monitored the Chemical Hygiene Program for two (2) testing labs.
* Conducted Emergency Response Drills to include the Police and Local Fire Depar
tments on an annual basis.
* Conducted and investigated safety inspections and accident investigations for
over 700 fleet vehicles resulted in reducing vehicular accidents by 30 percent.
