I have had a very successful career in developing and growing new business in th
e mid-Atlantic area in my first ten years by creating a wholesale distribution r
eseller network of dealers (primarily sign companies and trophy dealers) for cus
tom cast, etched and cut metal sign products. Sales tripled in the ten year per
iod I developed the business, and I was named top salesperson four years. I the
n spent five years in the memorial division of the same company selling bronze m
emorials, urns, and mausoleum products to cemeteries, monument dealers, and fune
ral homes, where I doubled my region's sales in less than five years. Most rece
ntly, I have developed a wholesale distribution network throughout the Southeast
in the architectural sign division, and have had consistent success with a mini
mum 12% sales increase each year, having been named top producer three times. I
have nine customer service representatives that report to me, and I have always
maintained an efficient office from my home.
OTHER EXPERIENCE
Right out of college, I worked as a sales representative for two building produc
ts companies (insulation and roofing) for four years prior to securing my curren
t position in 1984.
I was elected to the Peachtree City, GA (pop. 40,000) council in 2000, and serve
d four years as a council member. That experience enhanced my leadership, finan
cial, and decision making skills. I am now retired from elected politics.
PERSONAL INFORMATION
I am happily married with three sons. I am an active member of the Peachtree Ci
ty United Methodist Church, and I enjoy golf, travel, hiking, boating, coaching,
