The project road slarts from Km. 168.500 near MP-M"ft".rnt- Border and ends at Km.
265.00 at Dhuie, covering a toiai length of 96.5 km as,pqr old chain4ge rvhile E9 ! m as per nc.r,,
project chaninage. The r:oad ialls in Dhule district in the State of lv{aharashtra. The tanrl use pattern of
theprcject area is mostly agricultural (587o), forest (2C?'.,) ard friiuw (i2nL'1.l-iic;:.isiing Right of
Way varies from 22m t.o 45mand the proposed ROW is 60 m. Approximately 321.i I ha of land is
being acquirtd. The project road passes through several patches of Reserved Forest No rvildlife is
reported in the forest zrnea. About 64.46 tn of forest area is propgsed to be acquired for the project
road.
The length of new atignment is2l.7 kms wirh 6 m width.'The length of the existing alignment
of 67.25 knr r'vith *idth of 22 to 45 m rvill be strengthened and widened- The total new alignment for
the prcject will be 89 kms. Theie'are'3 major bridles, 38 minor bridges, I ROt, rgO cui;erb ;J t
undqrpasses in the project area. Service roads of length 27.25 l<m have been provided at buih up
locations. Truck lay byes have beer provided at 4 locations while way side amenities at 2 locations
and bus bays at 24 locatisns
The project road passes ttrrough 32 villages of Dhule District. There are 7 aras where
bypass/realignments ha're been proposed:-

be ensured fbr constructioii workers during the construction phasl bf tn" project in order to
avoid an1' darmage to the environment
(ii) Appropriate measures must be taken while undertaking digging activities to avoid any likely
degradation of warer qualrty.
(iii) Borrorv pits for earth, quarry sites for road c,onstruction materiat and dump sites must be
. identified keeping in view the following:
(a) No excavation or dumping on private properfy is caniEd out n'ithout written consent of
the or.vner.
(b) No r:xcavation or dumping should be allowed on' wetlands, forest areas or other
sgsl6,gical 11' valuable or sensiti ve locations.
(c) Excavation , s'ork should be done in eonsultation with the Soil Conservation and
Wate;rshed Development Agencies working in the area; and
(d) Construction spoili including bituminous material and other hazardous materials must not
. be allor'ved to cor$aminate water courses and the dump sites for such rnaterials must be
secured so that they should not leach into the ground lvater.
