be held at the Kompleks Belia Dan Sukan Negeri Johor.Pejabat Belia Dan
Sukan Daerah Johor Bahru,Jalan Sentosa ,Larkin ,80350 Johor Bahru.
Self defense basics in today’s modern
Ving Chun operates on the principal of performing reflex movements, and cultivates this motor behavior through repetition based training
methods. It trains the awareness of one's own body movement derived from muscular, tendon, and articular sources and values softness over a
hardened and rigid stance.
The aspect of softness in Ving Chun makes it extremely suitable for beginners without any martial arts background because the techniques focus on
deflecting external forces and redirecting them, rather than meeting them with equal or excessive force.
Scientifically, softness also encourages a positive reaction from your body – tension reduces speed and power, unnecessary muscle tension wastes
energy and causes fatigue, and a tense limb makes it easier for an opponent or attacker to push or pull your body.More importantly though, training
yourself to be both mentally and physically prepared for any potential threat that could come your way will help your overall confidence level. You
will also be more aware of your surroundings, more perceptive of the environment, and have a healthier physique to boot.
The Selangor Ip Man Ving Chun Association will be running a seminar titled Introduction to Ving Chun on 12 June 2010 from 12pm to
3pm. Scheduled to be held at the Selangor branch (55C, Jalan SS21/60, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya), the seminar will be hosted by Sifu Khalil
