Water Fire Extinguisher (Colour Code: Red)

petrol etc. but not for use on domestic chip or fat pan fires.

C  extinguishers do not cool the fire very well and you therefore need to ensure that
the fire does not start up again. Fumes from C  extinguishers can be harmful if used in

Fire blankets are made of fire resistant materials. hey are particularly useful
for smothering flammable liquid fires or for wrapping round a person whose
clothing is on fire.

Fire Buckets

u simple bucket of water can be used on Class u type of


fires either to supplement a water extinguisher or as a first
attack if an extinguisher is not immediately availa ble.

It also might also be filled with dry sand and used as an


absorbing agent or to dam a flow of flammable liquid.

hey do have serious disadvantages though, as they are often misused, left
empty or used as a refuse container. o not rely on Fire Buckets.
