Professional trends and its impact on the global community Introduction There have been tremendous and in depth

information posted on the discussion on Seminar 1 question identified a trend in your field and its global impact. The discussion was an education and lessons learned about other professionals, the trend of their line of work and its global community. Information from Classmates The Agile management at Alea (Michael Chiu-May 2011); the unrest in the Middle East and it drive in the rise in oil price (Khalid Al Amri-May 2011); the outsourcing strategy in the oil business (Israel O. Education and Lessons Learned These are todays professional world stories. I have gained education today of other professions and their day to day trends and the global impact. I learn today of the negative and positive impacts we professionally make on our world. What I find difficult to understand is how we can keep getting positive or more positive than negative results to better the global community with a sustainability goal. Therefore, my question is what trend profession the world over can do to have a positive impact on the global community? Expectations I am convinced the key to the impact professions have on the global community is the trends of project management. Because we all apply project management in our various diverse job responsibilities, it is the project management learning skills that we take from school to apply on the job, which comes first. What we learn as project managers will be what we apply in our work and that will in turn be what impacts the global community. Unfortunately, as I have gone through many project management training, I am still yet to be trained in planning for the community in project management. I hope to go through this while at UoL. The all the time question is, how do I manage my

project with the community as a key player in it? If I and the rest of us undergoing studies in project management around the world can get academic studies and prerequisites on this topic, I believe no matter our professional diversity, we will initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, close, operate and maintain our projects with the community as the key focus, thereby driving positive impact on the global community.
