3. Sources from where we can meet the required criterion. 4. Confidence, communication skills and know-how, that is, content. Interview process can be broadly divided into three categories: (a) Analytical based (b) Application based (c) Stress based The Case Study AIM: To recruit 300 officers for a multinational bank. RECRUITMENT PLAN: It is required to identify the minimum requirements in the three core operations of the bank:

1. Retail Banking- We need 180 officers. 2. Wholesale Banking- We need 90 officers 3. Treasury- We need 30 officers. What is the job description?

For a job description we need to identify the minimum qualification, work experience, age and any specialized or professional degree that the candidate or the applicant must possess. 1. The minimum qualification requirement for this job is graduation and must secure the minimum acceptable percentage of marks. 2. Work experience required for the job must be at least 3 years. 3. The age limit can be between 25-30 years 4. A specialized or professional degree would be given a preference during the selection process. The selection process is divided into two parts:

1. Selection through internal process The replacement chart, industry knowledge and job experience of the employees is taken into account. The potential candidates are considered for promotion after an written test and a personal interview. 2. Selection through external process (a) Through references- The potential candidates are called for a personal interview (b) Through campus placements- After shortlisting candidates through a written test, they are called for a personal interview. (c) Through placement agencies (d) Walk-in interviews, job sites and advertisements.

The interview process can be divided into following modules:

1. Retail There can be a written test followed by a personal interview which would analyze communication skills. 2. Wholesale The personal interview will analyze how good you are at application-based skills. 3. Treasury Since this requires expertise and knowledge so the interview process tests your stress-based, analytical-based and knowledge-based as well as application-based skills.
