Working with Projects


Cmd-N Cmd-Shift-N Cmd-O Cmd-W Cmd-S Cmd-Shift-S Cmd-Q Cmd-Shift-P Cmd-P Create a new empty project. Create a new project by using the Assistant. Open an existing project. Close the active project. Save the active project. Save the open project under a new name. Quit the Application. Bring up the Mac OS X Page Setup dialog for adjusting the size, orientation and other properties of the printed page. Bring up the standard print dialog for printing the 2D layout.

Working with Objects

Working with Windows and Panels


Cmd-+ Cmd-- Opt and mouse wheel Cmd- Cmd-M Cmd-W Cmd-, Cmd-R Cmd-\ Cmd-I Cmd-E Cmd-Opt-S Cmd-0 Zoom In. Zoom Out. Zoom in or zoom out. Show the floor plan at 100%. Minimize the active window. Close the active window. Bring up the application Preferences dialog. Show or hide the rulers. Switch from 2D to 3D view and vice versa. Open or close the Inspector window. Open or close the Environment window. Show or hide 3D rendering statistics. Fit the floor plan to the 2D window.

Working with the Mouse


Cmd-Mouse Option-Mouse Shift-click Turn the snap mode on or off in the 2D view. Duplicate objects in the 2D view. Select/deselect the object without changing the selection of other objects (can be used for multiple selection).

Walking and Looking Around in 3D view


Up Arrow (or W) Down Arrow (or S) Left Arrow Right Arrow Cmd-Up Arrow (or Q) Cmd-Down Arrow (or Z) Option-Up Arrow (or E) Option-Down Arrow (or C) Option-Left Arrow (or A) Option-Right Arrow (or D) Space-Drag Space-Opt-Drag Move forward. Move backward. Turn to the left. Turn to the right. Tilt the camera up. Tilt the camera down. Move the camera up. Move the camera down. Move the camera leftward. Move the camera rightward. Look around staying in the same place. Move around the point located in the center of the 3D view.

Moving Objects in the 3D View


Cmd-Drag Cmd-Otp-Drag Move an object with temporarily disabled the Glue By option. It is used to rip an opening out of the wall. The object moves horizontally. Move an object with temporarily disabled the Glue By option. It is used to change the object elevation.
